Our dog walking Folkestone service is designed with your dog’s well-being at its heart. We provide walks that help dogs feel safe, confident and content from their very first walk with us. We do this through our free meet and greet service where one of our team will come to your home to get to know you and your dog.
We then carefully match your dogs personality and requirements with our current groups. Our walks have a maximum of four dogs, ensuring your dog gets to socialise but isn’t overwhelmed and over-stimulated. Doherty Dog Services has been walking the wonderful dogs of Folkestone for over 7 years now, and many of those dogs have been with us since way back in 2019. Our dog walking team is made up of Dan, Claire, Matt & Vicky. We are all insured and first aid trained.
All our team offer dog walks Monday to Friday and Claire with walk slots at 10.30am and 12.30pm. Our books are currently closed but will re-open for Summer 2026. Please message us with your requirements to join our waiting list.
We’ve been using Doherty Dog Services for about a year and a half now for our Lennie – a very crazy working cocker spaniel! Claire has been Lennie’s walker since he was a puppy and she is simply amazing. You can instantly tell how much she loves the dogs, and it’s 100% returned – Lennie goes absolutely mad when he sees her!
I’ve felt completely comfortable with Claire coming into our home to collect Lennie while we’re at work from day dot, which was such a relief as leaving him during the day was always a worry. But once he’s had his lunchtime walk, he’s absolutely sparko for the rest of the day until we get home.
My favourite part of Thursdays has to be getting the videos of Lennie and his doggy friends, having the best time running around together. Lennie is such a confident, friendly dog and I honestly think his walks with DDS have played a huge part in that. Being integrated with other dogs from such an early age means he’s not reactive and doesn’t get overly excited when we see other dogs on our own walks. We genuinely cannot fault DDS or the amazing job they do with our Lennie. We are so grateful to have found them.’

Our team carefully match the personalities and sizes of our groups, ensuring all dogs feel happy and confident together. Our walks are done with a maximum of four dogs. This small group size ensures your dog isn’t overwhelmed and we can give each dog the attention and focus they deserve.
Your dog will enjoy adventures in the beautiful countryside spots Folkestone has to offer. These areas are chosen carefully to ensure your dog can safely enjoy running, sniffing and all that good dog stuff! You’ll receive pictures, videos and updates via Whatsapp at the end of the day.
Monday-Friday walks – £66 (5 walks for the price of 4!)
This offers our full time clients the best value for money. We do also offer non full time walks at £16.50 per walk.
